Five Finger Death Punch brought its tour to the Mohegan Sun Arena to promote their latest record Got Your Six. Supporting Five Finger Death Punch on this tour are From Ashes to New, In This Moment and veterans Papa Roach.
From Ashes to New started the night off opening with their single Downfall from the current EP release. I was impressed with these guys. They are pretty new to the scene and performing like veterans. They maintained a great energy throughout their 7 song set. I foresee these guys headlining their own tour in the near future.
Next up was In This Moment. As always, In This Moment delivers. The stage was full of elaborate props and smoke mixing in with the colored lights. This definitely set the mood for their performance. I was blown away by the incredible stage production.
Papa Roach Hit the stage with a vengeance, opening with Face Everything and Rise from their latest album, F.E.A.R. The stage set up was open with lots of space to move around, and singer Jacoby Shaddix took full advantage. Their well rounded and impressive 16 song set included an acoustic version of Scars and a duet performance of the song Gravity with Maria Brink from In This Moment. They finished off their set forcefully with, Last Resort and To Be Loved leaving the fans wanting more.
Five Finger Death Punch started their set hard and strong, opening with Lift Me Up. They kept the momentum going through Hard to See, Never Enough, and Got Your Six before slowing down briefly to play Bad Company to pay respect to the Men and Women in the United States Armed Forces. Ivan and Jason performed acoustic versions of Wrong Side of Heaven and Battle Born before jumping into Under and Over It. As a special treat for the night, Ivan announced that they were shooting their new video Wash it All Away that night. Once the guys were in position, they cued the music and they shot the video right there. There were no encores because of the video shoot. The guys stayed on to play one more song. The audience went nuts when they heard the opening guitar riff to The Bleeding. As always, Five Finger Death Punch delivered. It was a great night and a great show.
