Fozzy’s Judas Rising Tour 2017 stopped by the Worcester Palladium in October to support their new album “Judas” that will be released on October 13, 2017.  Gemini Syndrome joined Fozzy on their tour this fall with a new guitarist (Coal Chamber’s Miguel Rascon) before they start to work on a new album over the winter.
This night’s show was held upstairs on the small intimate stage with very little lighting which made it tough to shoot, but there is always a challenge when shooting a dynamic live environment.
Gemini Syndrome came out strong to a packed crowd in front of the stage and along the upstairs balcony. The band’s aura and sound are definitely unique and powerful.  Aaron Nordstrom’s vocals where awesome and the crowd loved every song.  This was the first time I’ve seen Gemini Syndrome and I thought that Miguel (Meegs) blended seamlessly with Daniel Sahagún (guitars) and Alessandro Paveri (bass guitar) on stage.
Gemini ended the night with fan favorites “Remember We Die” and “Stardust” that has ripping guitars and solid drumming, which drove each song throughout the show.
The crowd was chanting “Fozzy, Fozzy, Fozzy” just before they took stage and opened with their hit “Judas”.  Judas hit the #1 spot on the iTunes Metal chart and was labeled the #1 summer song of 2017 on Sirius XM Octane’s Big ‘Uns of the Summer Countdown.  The overall sound of Fozzy was loud, punchy, and tight, which the crowd loved.  The band was energetic, very entertaining, and interacted with the crowd as they jammed.
Something happened to me at this show that has never happened to me before.  While shooting Rich “The Duke” Ward on guitar, I noticed him looking at me and coming towards me.  I didn’t think anything of it as I kept shooting, but then I felt something and he grabbed my hat and put it on.  That was kewl and I included some of the pictures of that sequence.  The angle and quality wasn’t the greatest, but still worth sharing.
Chris Jericho was very entertaining and was great on vocals.  This was also the first time I’ve seen Fozzy and I loved it.  They ended the night with a cover of Krokus’ “Eat the Rich”.
The day after their new album is released (October 14, 2017), Fozzy will embark on a three city in one-day nationwide jam (Florida, Texas, and LasVegas) to support the new album release.
Be sure to check out Fozzy as they tour to support their new album and keep your eyes open for new material coming from Gemini Syndrome after the new year.  All in all it was a great night of music.
