It was a great New England summer evening, and Peter Frampton made it a perfect night.  Currently in the middle of a 50-date farewell tour that caps off an amazing 50+ year career, Frampton played his monster hits, deep cuts, iconic covers, and tracks off his most recent album, All Blues – featuring his favorite blues covers.

A singer, songwriter, producer, and guitarist, Frampton spent his early years with bands Humble Pie and The Herd, then embarking on a solo career.  As a solo artist he released several albums including his breakthrough Frampton Comes Alive!, which sold more than 8 million copies in the United States and spawned several hit singles.

Frampton is known for his work with a talk box and his voice, with such hits as “Breaking All the Rules,” “Show Me the Way,” “Baby, I Love Your Way,” “Do You Feel Like We Do,” and “I’m in You.”  Keeping busy, he has worked with Ringo Starr, David Bowie and numerous other artists, and has also appeared as himself in television shows such as The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Madam Secretary.

The 16-song set came as close as humanly possible to capturing Frampton’s storied and diverse career spanning decades, musical genres and themes, delivering great satisfaction for even the most ardent of fans.

The tour features special guest Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening.  Having seen Bonham and his band many times, I can attest that there’s currently no better way to see and hear Led Zeppelin classics!

If you haven’t seen him recently (and even if you have!) spend at least one more night seeing this legend live: http://www.frampton.com/live/
