There was a packed crowd at House of Blues Boston for a sold out show with New Orleans band, The Revivalists this past Sunday night. Songs including Oh, No, Some People Say, All My Friends and Change combined with the energetic performances of lead singer, David Shaw. Rob Ingraham on saxophone in particular grabbed the audience right from the start. A platform projecting out into the audience allowed Shaw to get close to fans. In contrast to the high energy of Shaw, guitarist Zack Feinberg was much more chill but rocked on the solos. In addition to Shaw and Feinberg, the eight member band also includes pedal steel guitar, bass, two drummers/percussionists, keyboards and trumpet creating a unique and full range sound. The energy level stayed high through the entire night ending with an encore including Wish I Knew You.
The Revivalists are a great band to see live, the music, the performance and the interaction with the audience makes for a great concert experience. The band will be on tour in 2019.
