WATCH: Dropkick Murphys rock National Anthem in Boston

Our latest Dropkick Murphys photos HERE

Our friends The Dropkick Murphys kicked off Game Six of the World Series in true Boston fashion Wednesday night with a raucous rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner.”

The Celtic punk rockers took the field at Fenway Park decked out in Red Sox jerseys, with one member even sporting a kilt.

After the anthem, they treated fans to a rendition of their hit “Shipping Up to Boston,” although TV viewers didn’t get to hear much of it. Fox cut to a commercial shortly after the first few notes.  But everyone in Fenway heard it, and it may have helped spark the Red Sox offense.

Boston defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 6-1 to win their third World Series title in the past decade.  It was the first World Series-clinching victory in Fenway Park since 1918.
