Next year will be a big year…
Dave Grohl told XFM that the Foo Fighters have finished writing their next album.
He said: “Well, I’ll tell you, we have been in our studio writing and in the past few weeks we’ve written an album and we are going to make this album in a way that no-one’s ever done before and we’re pretty excited about it. It’s a little ways off – it’s not ready to happen right now but I think next year is going to be a really big year for the Foo Fighters without question. It’s going to be great, I can’t wait.”
For Wasting Light the band used an original sound desk from Sound City Studios in Los Angeles, but it appears they will be in the studio for the next album. Grohl ended up making a documentary about the studio and creating a supergroup with a lineup of musicians who recorded in the studio. The Sound City Players include Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks.
