Motorhead’s Lemmy Kilmister finishing solo album

Lemmy Kilmister says his solo album is “almost done.”

The Motorhead frontman tells “Revolver” magazine the set includes a number of collaborations, including cuts with Joan Jett, The Damned, and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl.  He adds that he’d also like to record a song with Skin singer Skunk Anansie for the project.

Lemmy says fans shouldn’t expect his upcoming disc to sound like a Motorhead album.  He admits “there are elements” in common with the work he does with the group, but his own project is different.

However, the singer has a tough time describing it, saying “it’s all just great rock and roll.”  Lemmy adds that while the album doesn’t yet have an official title, he’s considering calling it “False Teeth For The Deaf.”  Kilmister also doesn’t say just when he expects to have his solo album in stores.
