Dropkick Murphys have joined forces with the NHL to create a video for “Paying My Way,” a song off their upcoming album 11 Short Stories Of Pain & Glory, which will be released on January 6th. The song is available with pre-orders for the upcoming album, which was included in Stereogum’s “Most Anticipated Albums Of 2017.”
The video combines recent NHL clips with those from decades gone by, from hard hitting action on the ice to quiet locker room scenes underpinned with the foot stomping, anthemic “Paying My Way.”
“Paying My Way is not just about paying your bills,” explains Dropkick Murphys founder/lead singer Ken Casey. “It’s about doing what you have to do in order to be a good person. But at the end of the day, never losing sight of the fact that doing the next right thing may lead to great things one day.”
