Boston’s beloved Celtic punk band, Dropkick Murphys, are gearing up for another unforgettable St. Patrick’s Day celebration in 2025, announcing a nationwide tour that will culminate in four hometown shows at MGM Music Hall at Fenway and the Citizens House of Blues. Starting February 26, the band will hit 14 cities, joined by The Menzingers and Teenage Bottlerocket for most dates, with a special lineup for their Boston shows from March 14-17, 2025.
The 2025 tour offers fans an opportunity to enjoy a blend of Dropkick Murphys’ classic hits alongside new material, including their latest single “Sirens.” The anthem, a fiery call for unity and resistance against the exploitation of the working class, is already climbing rock and alternative charts. The band hinted that fans might hear more new tracks from their upcoming album, set for release next year via Dummy Luck Music / [PIAS].
In a statement, frontman Ken Casey expressed excitement about the upcoming tour, which marks the band’s 29th year. “We’re excited as hell to bring our annual St. Patrick’s Day Tour to 14 cities leading into our hometown stand in Boston!! We are honored to have two amazing bands joining us for the entire run, The Menzingers and Teenage Bottlerocket, with a few more friends joining us in Boston; we’re stoked to be playing shows with Hot Water Music, The Kilograms, The Bouncing Souls, Rebuilder, and Cody Nilsen on our home turf!” said Casey.
The hometown shows promise to be a highlight for local fans, with a diverse lineup of supporting acts for each night. The Kilograms and The Menzingers will take the stage on March 14, while The Bouncing Souls, Hot Water Music, and Rebuilder will bring their energy to the March 16 show. Cody Nilsen will also join for the sold-out St. Patrick’s Day show on March 17 at Citizens House of Blues.
In addition to the evening performances, Dropkick Murphys will host a special family-friendly event on Saturday, March 15, at MGM Music Hall at Fenway. This afternoon mini-concert and meet-and-greet will benefit the band’s charitable foundation, The Claddagh Fund. For this show, fans can purchase an adult ticket and bring up to two children under 13 for free, making it a perfect opportunity to introduce a new generation to the band’s legendary live performances.
