Jimmy Eat World, the alternative rock veterans who helped define the sound of the early 2000s, are kicking off an ambitious 2025 touring year. Following a 2024 filled with anniversary tributes to their beloved albums Clarity, Futures, and Surviving, the Arizona-based quartet is hitting the road with a vengeance—and New England fans will want to mark their calendars.
The tour kicks off with a sold-out headlining show on April 10 at The Fox Theater in Pomona, California, and quickly scales up with a highly anticipated return to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 12 and 19—marking their first appearance at the iconic festival since 2011. Sandwiched between the Coachella dates, the band plays a home-state show in Tucson, Arizona, which is also sold out.
From there, Jimmy Eat World embarks on an expansive North American spring tour that includes major festival appearances at Sonic Temple (Columbus, OH) and Welcome to Rockville (Daytona Beach, FL), with several headlining stops along the way—including a May 11 show in Carrboro, NC, and a May 14 performance in Chattanooga, TN.
This summer, the band sets its sights across the Atlantic, beginning with sold-out shows in Dublin and Cardiff before heading into a run of major European music festivals. A highlight: their coveted mainstage appearance at the UK’s Download Festival on June 13. The European leg concludes in grand fashion with a show at Milan’s San Siro stadium on June 24.
Jimmy Eat World fans in New England won’t have to wait long for a local appearance: the band will roll into Mansfield, Massachusetts, on July 30 as part of the Supercharged tour alongside punk rock giants The Offspring and New Found Glory. That tour spans more than 30 cities from July to early September, with Jimmy Eat World supporting throughout.
Later in the fall, the band will play several beloved alternative and punk-leaning festivals including Pennsylvania’s Four Chord Music Festival (Sept. 13), Alabama’s Furnace Fest (Oct. 3), and close out the year at the Best Friends Forever Festival in Las Vegas on October 10 with what they promise will be a “very special” set list.
For the uninitiated—or those who haven’t revisited their catalog in a while—Jimmy Eat World’s legacy runs deep. Formed in Mesa, Arizona, the band exploded into mainstream success with their platinum-selling 2001 hit “The Middle,” which recently earned a spot in Spotify’s coveted Billions Club. Subsequent singles like “Pain,” “Work,” and “Big Casino” cemented their status as alt-rock staples, and their 2019 release Surviving earned praise for blending their trademark emotional intensity with new sonic directions.
New England fans eager to catch the band live can find full tour details and ticket information at www.jimmyeatworld.com. Given the number of sold-out dates already, early action is advised.
Whether you’re reliving high school memories or discovering them for the first time, Jimmy Eat World’s 2025 tour promises a sweeping celebration of a band that continues to evolve while staying true to their emotionally honest, anthemic core.
