Toad the Wet Sprocket Bring “Good Intentions” to New England This Summer with 2025 Headlining Tour

Alt-rock veterans Toad the Wet Sprocket have officially announced their 2025 Good Intentions U.S. headlining tour, a 26-date run that includes several highly anticipated stops across New England this August.

With their signature blend of melodic guitar work, introspective lyrics, and warm harmonies, the Santa Barbara, CA-based band continues to strike a chord with audiences more than three decades after breaking into the mainstream. The tour, named after their 1995 radio hit “Good Intentions,” will feature support from fellow ’90s icons Semisonic, KT Tunstall, and Sixpence None the Richer in select cities.

New England Tour Dates:

  • August 14 – New Haven, CT @ Westville Music Bowl (w/ KT Tunstall, Sixpence None the Richer)

  • August 16 – Medford, MA @ Chevalier Theatre (w/ KT Tunstall, Sixpence None the Richer)

  • August 18 – Deerfield, MA @ Tree House Brewing Company (w/ KT Tunstall, Sixpence None the Richer)

“Toad” fans can expect a mix of old favorites—like “Walk on the Ocean,” “All I Want,” and the titular “Good Intentions”—as well as newer material, including recent crowd favorites “The Moment” and “Transient Whales.” Singer Glen Phillips says the songs’ evolving resonance with fans keeps the performances fresh: “It feels good to know we can still make music that’s resonating. There’s a huge percentage of the audience who know every word.”

Guitarist Todd Nichols added that the band’s early ethos still defines them: “We were young and it was us against the record company… we had a bit of punk-rock ethos.” That independent spirit has earned the band a fiercely loyal fan base, many of whom have been along for the ride since the band’s platinum-selling albums Fear (1991) and Dulcinea (1994).

In keeping with their tradition of giving back, the band will once again partner with a nonprofit organization on tour. This year’s beneficiary is the National Parks Foundation, a fitting alignment for a group whose music so often touches on introspection and the beauty of the natural world.

Fans can also look forward to a new acoustic greatest hits album, expected later this year.

Whether you’re reliving your college radio days or discovering their music for the first time, Toad the Wet Sprocket’s summer tour promises an evening of heartfelt rock and timeless songwriting that continues to grow with its audience—New England included.
