The fans were anticipating amazing performances on a rainy Friday night at the Xfinity Center on August 9, 2024, where Dierks Bentley, Chase Rice, and Kaitlin Butts took the stage.
Kaitlin Butts kicked off the evening on her Roadrunner! Tour with her unique blend of storytelling and heartfelt lyrics. Backed by a talented violinist and a skilled band, Butts delivered for the audience with her soulful voice. She opened up about personal experiences, offering a glimpse into her life through her introspective songs. It is evident that Butts is a true artist, as she performed her own original music with passion and sincerity. Tracks like “Roadrunner” and “You Ain’t Gotta Die (To Be Dead To Me)” showcased her talent and left a lasting impression on the crowd.
Next up was Chase Rice, who wasted no time in getting the party started. He cracked open a beer as soon as he stepped on stage, setting the tone for the night. Rice’s performance was highlighted by his exceptional guitar skills, which he didn’t to play until he was 21 years old. It was a touching moment when he revealed that he still plays the guitar his late father had bought him. Rice’s upcoming album in September had fans eagerly anticipating new music, but it was his rendition of popular hits like “Cruise / Ready Set Roll” and his first ever cover of John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads” that truly captivated the audience. Rice even allowed a lucky fan to join him onstage to sing along. And let’s not forget the adorable surprise when he brought his dog on stage, melting hearts all around.
Finally, it was time for the headliner, Dierks Bentley, to take the stage. The crowd erupted with excitement as Bentley opened with “Gold,” instantly boosting the energy in the crowd. Making excellent use of the banjo, Bentley’s performance was nothing short of electrifying. The audience was fully engaged, singing along and bouncing colorful balloons and beach balls across the crowd. Bentley’s setlist was a perfect mix of his biggest hits and crowd-pleasing covers. From the energetic “5-1-5-0” to the soulful “Black,” each song showcased his versatility and talent as a performer. The highlight of the night was undoubtedly his collaboration with Chase Rice on “Gone” – their chemistry on stage was infectious. Bentley even treated the crowd to an unforgettable encore, covering various country classics, including the iconic “Friends in Low Places.”
Overall, the concert featuring Dierks Bentley, Chase Rice, and Kaitlin Butts was nothing short of incredible. From the heartfelt storytelling of Kaitlin Butts to the lively and energetic performances of both Rice and Bentley, it was a night to remember. The passion, talent, and camaraderie shared on stage made for a truly unforgettable concert experience.
