After just releaseing a collection of remixes of various ZOMBIE tracks on August 7, 2012 called “Mondo Sex Head“. Featuring  some of the hottest names in the growing electronic dance music scene, along with contributions from Jonathan Davis of KORN and Chino Moreno of DEFTONES. With new news of a new “specal” ambum on its way in early 2013. Rob Zombie has joind forces to create The Twins of Evil tour — featuring Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson and DJ Starscream!
If you have not seen a Rob Zombie concert, you have not lived yet.  This is truly a spectacular spectacle of great craft and planning. The colossal stage was setup for what was to come – building anticipation a huge curtain with the image of King Kong on the front blocked the crowd from seeing the set and provided a compelling image from the stage. As King Kong’s image dropped the lights dimmed, smoke billowed from the stage and an unnerving and alarming sound began to roar throughout the Verizon Wireless Arena grabbing everyones’ attention. Red smoke and fire ravaged the stage showing what appeared to be a massive 20-foot metallic robot in the center stage.

Bassist Piggy D and guitarist John 5 took to the stage, both wearing their signature masks and began to salute the crowd and pose for the photographers. Soon into the introduction, the robot burst into fire and its chest opened up revealing inside the man the myth Mr. Rob Zombie himself. Zombie leisurely walked out wearing a skull-like mask, with a top hat on sporting a colossal skeletal arm and approached his microphone stand a skeletal figure with six arms.

He quickly went into the first song of the night getting the crowd involved as they started chanting “All hail, jesus Frankenstein” and then transitioned into “Superbeast”. Rob displayed such high energy, the fans appeared to be blown away. Throughout the set, they had guest appearances from outlandish creatures such as robots, skeletons, a Mars rover and other unnamed monsters, all brining out the feel of his horror like style. They continued to rock the most hard hitting songs such as “Mars Needs Women” “Sick Bubble-Gum” and finished their set off with an extended version of Thunder Kiss ’65 which included an incredible guitar solo by guitarist John 5 that left fans enthralled.

While the solo continued,Zombie went down off  the stage and into the floor area where he ran through the fans and parts of  the arena acknowledging his fans, giving them high fives and appearing in pictures with them. He finally returned to the stage and finished off the song. As they left the stage while fans screamed and begged for one last song. The band immediately returned and finished off the night with their hit “Dragula”. The show and performance was both visually entertaining and shocking. This show was one of the most outstanding show I have had the privilege of photographing this year.
