Slayer reissuing 10 albums on vinyl

Slayer fans will have a lot of new vinyl to enjoy just in time for the holidays.

The thrash metal veterans have announced plans to remaster ten of their albums and put them out on “the highest quality, 180-gram audiophile vinyl” on December 10th.

Records getting the reissue treatment range from 1986’s landmark release Reign in Blood to the band’s most recent studio effort, 2009’s World Painted Blood.

Each album will feature the original artwork, and for the first run in the U.S., 500 unmarked copies will be pressed on “blood red” colored vinyl and randomly distributed as part of a so-called “lucky dip.”

Fans are encouraged to look out for more announcements about the reissue campaign at Slayer.net.
