Back in September rumors swirled that Asking Alexandria’s original singer, Danny Worsnop would be reuniting with the band after leaving the group in January of 2015.  Only days after the rumor was confirmed the group hit the stage together in Seattle to kick off their 10 Years In The Black Tour fronted by Danny.
The tour came through Massachusetts and hit the Worcester Palladium with other Metalcore favorites such as Upon A Burning Body and Born of Osiris.
The real stand out of the openers was Michigan based I See Stars, who’s heavy electronic hardcore sound had the crowd reeling in circle pits and poured crowd surfers toward the stage in a relentless assault.  Lead Devin Oliver played off the audience like a puppet master and I was thoroughly impressed by the groups stage presence.
By the time Asking Alexandria took the stage the room was brimming with energy and anticipation to see the group back together in action.  The British band fronted by Danny tore through a 10 song set list followed by a two song encore which as a whole didn’t include a single song off their latest album, The Black.  Instead it was loaded with older material such as “Someone, Somewhere” and “Dear Insanity” (2011), “A Single Moment of Sincerity” (2010), and from 2009’s break out album Stand Up And Scream, “The Final Episode” and “Not The American Average”.
Although the group led by either Danny Worsnop or his former replacement Denis Stoff always put on a heart pumping performance, the show was a nostalgic reminder of where the group began and myself along with many other fans were thrilled to see Danny back in action.  Asking Alexandria just wasn’t the same without him.
