Vance Joy performed at The Blue Hills Pavilion on June 15th with Alice Merton opening. A packed crowd enjoyed a perfect night in the open air venue in the seaport area of Boston.
This was the final performance with Alice opening for Vance on the tour. Her set included songs from her EP, No Roots, including the title song as well as Lash Out, Jealousy and several others. Her unique vocal style combined with a three piece band of drums, keyboards and guitars (bass and electric) provided a good warm up of the crowd for Australian singer / songwriter Vance Joy.
Vance played a mix of guitar and ukulele and had a band that included trumpet and saxophone in addition to the standard keyboards, drums, etc. His set included songs from his initial release, Dream Your Life Away, as well as the new one, Nation of Two, including Saturday Sun, Little Boy and Bonnie and Clyde.
The tour continues for the next several months at venues in the US and Canada.
