The Foo Fighters are ready to make their debut South of the Border. Dave Grohl and company have announced plans to play their very first show in Mexico on December 13th. The gig will also be the band’s first live performance anywhere in more than a year.
Last October, Grohl said the Foo Fighters would be going away for a while. But fans can rest assured now that the rockers are returning to the stage and have started work on the follow-up to 2011’s Wasting Light. The Foo Fighters’ eighth studio album is expected to be released next year.
Meanwhile, the band is asking fans to help compile the set list for the gig at Mexico City’s Foro Sol. They’ve started a pair of polls that give voters a chance to pick one deep cut and one cover song that the rockers promise “will totally be played.”
