Metallica will be doing things a little differently when they hit the road next summer. The metal vets are letting the fans put together the set lists for the two short European treks they announced on Tuesday.
A post on Metallica.com explains that ticket holders will get a chance to vote for 17 songs they want to hear at the upcoming gigs. A special 18th tune will be chosen by the band, and they promise to vote for a brand new song.
The guys say they’re “so ready” to make another album after spending most of their time over the past couple of years working on their “Through the Never” concert film.
Metallica’s last full-length album, Death Magnetic, came out in 2008. They also released Lulu, a collaborative album with Lou Reed, in 2011.
