Dave Grohl has opened up on the forthcoming new Foo Fighters release, saying that the band is breaking new ground in the art of songwriting. Speaking with Rolling Stone, the rocker admitted the band has been trying to keep the revolutionary process hush-hush.
“We’re doing something that nobody knows about, it’s . . . rad. We begin recording soon, but we’re doing it in a way that no one’s done before and we’re writing the album in a way that I don’t think has been done before,” he said.
The news comes at a busy time for the band, which is slated to hit the stage in Mexico City on Dec. 11 and 13.
Grohl also recently hit the studio with the Zac Brown Band for a new release aptly titled The Grohl Sessions Vol. 1.
