Bowling For Soup Bringing the Party to Fenway This Month

Get ready for a serious dose of nostalgia, Boston. Pop-punk favorites Bowling For Soup are rolling into MGM Music Hall at Fenway on August 29 with Simple Plan, 3OH!3, and LØLØ.

If you haven’t caught Bowling For Soup live, you’re missing out on one of the most fun shows in rock. These guys have been at it for 30 years, and they’ve got the whole thing down to a science – massive singalongs, impromptu comedy bits, and the kind of energy that makes you forget you’re at a concert with thousands of other people.

What’s wild about their shows these days? You’ll see parents who grew up jamming to “1985” and “Girl All the Bad Guys Want” bringing their kids, who somehow know every single word. That’s what happens when your songs end up in movies, TV shows, and basically everywhere in pop culture.

The Texas rockers just wrapped their biggest UK tour ever and somehow already booked London’s Wembley Arena for next December. Not bad for a band that calls itself “easily the 9th greatest pop punk band in history.”

They’re staying busy too – working on a live acoustic album, a covers album, and a recording from their recent Manchester show. After this tour wraps up in Texas, they’ll hit up some festivals and even play Disney’s EPCOT in November (yes, really).

The August 29 show promises all the early-2000s vibes you could want. Simple Plan’s bringing the hits, 3OH!3’s adding their electronic twist, and newcomer LØLØ is representing the new generation of pop-punk.

Tickets are on sale now through the usual spots. Fair warning: these shows tend to sell out once people realize their teenage favorites are back in town.
