This was my first experience with the Gorilla Finger Dub Band. They seemed like that local band you had never heard of playing a show at your local bar that sends you back home feeling glad you gave them a chance. As someone who enjoys a faster concert atmosphere dodging crowd surfers or watching a circle pit open up, I must say Reggae has never been my first choice of live music. However, I truly enjoyed this band’s rhythm and how they traveled along each note with ease and smooth serenity. I was completely relaxed, with a smile across my face. As I looked around at the crowd, everyone was dancing and in their own heads as music filled their ears. That was the best thing I was able to take away from these guys; for the not-so-Reggae lovers, this band was still able to create a solid escape from the everyday reality.
