Simply amazing! No other way to describe Anaria at Wally’s in Hampton on Thursday night.
The modern rock/metal band, opening for Plush, put on an incredible performance, highlighted
by the ability of lead volcalist Jessica Mercy, solos by lead guitarist Sergio Salvucci and rhythm
guitarist Dan Spinney. Matt Frotten on Bass and the newest addition, Johnathan Jena on
drums, completed the line up driving the low end. With a mix of songs from their past releases
and songs from their soon to be released album, Anaria created a musical atmosphere that
drew you into the music. Songs such as Crave, Freakshow, Holding Cell, Curtain Fall, and
Chasing Shadows showed the range this band has including symphonic rock elements. Their
cover of H.I.M.’s Wings of a Butterfly makes it their own while staying true to the essence of the
original. Overall, just simply amazing!
Anaria will be at Taffeta Music Hall, Lowell, MA Saturday November 22 nd for their new album
release. If not already a fan, this is a perfect opportunity to check them out and pick up a copy,
you will not regret it!
