Asking Alexandria brings it’s ‘Break Down the Walls’ tour to the Best Buy Theater In New York City to promote their latest record ‘Death to Destiny’. Supporting AA on this tour are August Burns Red, We Came As Romans, Crown the Empire and Born of Osiris. They could have not picked better bands to support them. They brought the energy level up and kept it their the whole night until Asking Alexandria graced the stage.
They opened their set with ‘Don’t Pray for Me’, which is the first song off the new record. The crowd exploded when the song kicked into high gear and Danny Worsnop did one of his trademark growls. The band was tight and sounding great. Not wasting any time, they kicked into another song off of ‘Death to Destiny’ called ‘Run Free.’ They mixed in some older songs from their previous records throughout the show.
The wall of death that kicked off the song ‘To the Stage’ was insane. I haven’t seen a crowd move like that since this past summers Warped tour. By the end of the night, AA belted through 12 songs and came back out to perform 3 encore songs. The last song they played was ‘Final Episode (Lets Change the Channel)’ off of their first record ‘Stand Up and Scream.’ That gave the crowd one last chance to dance.
Everybody who attended this show got their moneys worth. All bands performed 110%, the stage crew was super efficient and the security did their job well. This is a night to go in the record books for one of the best shows I have seen at The Best Buy!
