Las Vegas indie rockers Imagine Dragons — front man and drummer Dan Reynolds, bassist and backing vocalist Ben McKee, guitarist and backing vocalist Wayne Sermon and drummer and backing vocalist Dan Platzman — performed a sold-out concert at the house of Blues Boston
It was not long ago this band was performing at small Downtown venues across the United States. Now fast forward a few years till today and now they have a gold–certified debut release out called Night Visions. Imagine Dragons now with several top songs now playing on radio stations across the country. On this night they were playing to a sold out show in Boston at the House of Blues. Imagine Dragons, has produced edge with a love for tribal rhythms and this is what got the crowd in to a dance-ready synthesis The band had several large drums accompanying them onstage, which various band members would play. During their latest single, “Radioactive,” Reynolds and bassist Ben McKee both played each side of a large drum for an extended breakdown. It was amazing how the energy of the crowd flowed into the band and every song became progressively better. I’m am sure the crowd could have kept every song going even without Reynolds singing, which allowed him to jam out for longer periods of time on his drum set. After talking it up with fans, one person summed up why Imagine Dragons is so infectious. “It comes down to the simple fact that they radiate positive influences in every song. There’s never a down moment, even in the slower songs. They have it all worked out in there stage setup to.” The best line someone said was, “It’s in the name Imagine Dragons I mean think about it what if we had dragons how cool would that be?” It’s been a very big year for Imagine Dragons: With their first studio album, “Night Visions,” that was released Sept. 4, peaked at No. 2 and has spawned two Top 40 hits, “It’s Time” and “Radioactive.” Now playing sold out dates across the country on their biggest tour yet. These guys are on their way to making it big!
