Supermachine
Supermachine’s biography chronicles nothing but immediate chemistry, as guitarist, Jay Fortin and bassist, Paul Jarvis, both founding members of the band Scissorfight, brought drummer, Mike “Mick” McNeil on board, due to their collective encounter with the band, Hemicuda. This threesome unit created the components of Supermachine, who were ready to take on the massive vocals of David Nebbia. Deliberate bass leads, steady timing and strong vocals, describe the locomotive rumble that this Supermachine creates to deliver their unique sound.
Meet Supermachine:
Jay Fortin – Guitars
Paul Jarvis – Bass
Mike “Mick” McNeill – Drums
David Nebbia – Vocals
From Dover, NH, Supermachine featured thunder chords from Jay Fortin, and heavy bass lines rumbled out by Paul Jarvis. This band is creative in their song writing. Double stops in their timing, ranked Supermachine high in the innovation category, as their second song, Josey Wales, rolled out.
“We are coming out here for a good cause!” David Nebbia shouted.
Head banging fans found sharp angles, in response to the Supermachine engine that moved them. The rhythm, bass and cymbals, stayed heavy, bringing the crowd on a gritty metal rail ride. The song performances had multiple parts to them, which literally spun out guitarist, Jay Fortin. They played a brand new song called, “Solution,” which had the fans revved up and rockin. “Crutch” and “Pill Cruise” rounded out the killer set, with some deliberate back and forth responses, from the band to the crowd. This was a blast to watch for their last song.
David Nebbia told the crowd “Reach out if you have something going on in your life!” As this RISE ABOVE Fest suicide prevention fundraiser was just beginning, Supermachine reminded these fans why we were here today, and that the family members held deep within our souls will never be forgotten.
