Beartooth’s Disease Tour – Part II played the Strand in Providence, RI with Of Mice & Men, Hands Like Houses, and Dead American on a nice spring night.   This line up of heavy music packed the venue early with fans ready to rock.

Australia’s Dead American and then Hands Like Houses opened the show to get the crowd going.   Hands Like Houses played their radio hit “Monster”, which was upbeat and sounded great.

Next Up was Of Mice & Men who came out with a red flashing stage and drum lights to kick off their set.  Of Mice & Men’s thunder sound came out strong with Aaron Pauley’s incredible vocals.  The crowd spun up circular pits around the lower section in front of the stage jamming to the thrash.  Aaron Pauley commanded the audience to kneel down for the last song of the night and then triggered everyone to jump up as they went into “The Depths”.

Queen’s “We Will Rock You” was the intro to start the show for Beartooth touring to support their third album Disease, which came out in September of 2018.  While preparing for the show I discovered something I never knew, Caleb Shomo records all the vocals, guitars, bass, and drums for Beartooth.  He is the mastermind behind the band and also mixes/produces with the help from Grammy winner Nick Raskulinecz.  Beartooth has been killing it at a ton of festivals around the world building their fan base with great live performances.  The song “Fire” was fun and had the crowd singing in cadence with the chorus of “Ready Aim Fire”!!   The setlist consisted of great tunes including “Hated”, “In Between”, “Disease”, and their cover version of AC-DC’s “TNT”.

All in all, what a great show.

Next time they come around either at a festival, theatre, or arena, go check them out!!
