Rob Zombie brought his Super Monster Sex Action Tour to Mohegan Sun in Uncasville on June 18th, 2015. Along side of Rob Zombie is John 5 on guitar, Piggy D on bass and Ginger Fish on drums. Starting off the night was Ginger Fish performing as a DJ to warm up the crowd. After that, the crew got the stage set up for the band. When they were done, the stage had 4 black tapestries hanging up with images of classic horror film icons. In the back of the stage was a large hanging black tapestry with King Kong.
At 9Pm the lights go out and Rob and the guys take to the stage. They open up with  ‘Teenage Nosferatu Pussy’, which is off the newest Rob Zombie Cd ‘Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor‘. This song isn’t very fast, but lets Rob make his grand entrance. Rob sped everything up with the next two songs ‘Super Charger Heaven’ and ‘Super beast‘. The band played a great collection of songs that span Rob Zombies career from White Zombie to his fifth solo CD. They also did two cover tunes ‘Blitzkrieg Bop’ by the Ramones and ‘We’re an American Band‘ by Grand Funk Railroad. ‘We’re an American Band’ was the first of three encore songs. The last two songs were ‘The Lords of Salem’ and ‘Dragula’. This was an incredible performance from Rob and the band. I’ve noticed that Rob has recently scaled down his shows. No TV screens, No Pyro and No elaborate machines. With all honesty Rob is such a strong performer that he doesn’t need all that stuff to put on a great show. Give Rob some lights and beach balls and he turns it into one hell of a party. I recommend seeing Rob Zombie. I have never seen a bad show from him.
